Meet your Presenters:

Mike Bachhuber, Executive Director, Independent Living Council of Wisconsin, Madison, WI  has worked in disability rights since 1997, including work at the state’s Protection and Advocacy System and an IL Center.  As a consumer, Mike sat on and chaired the state’s Mental Health Planning and Advisory Council and served as a founding Board member for its Mental Health Consumer Network.  He currently devotes time to organizing the civil rights efforts of the National Council on Independent Living as Co-chair of its ADA/Civil Rights Subcommittee. This email address is being protected from spambots. SeRonna Rodgers, Director of Operations, Disability Resource & Advocacy Center (D-RAC), White Hall, AR  has been an advocate for over 25 years. SeRonna worked for eight years in the deaf community as an interpreter in the public school system, as well as teaching sign language to K - 8 and beginners classes for adults. She worked for the Protection & Advocacy System, Disability Rights Center of Arkansas for 17 years where she was the Director of Developmental and External Relations, and has worked for the Arkansas Disability Coalition working with parents who have children with disabilities in the public school system. She has served on the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Arkansas board of directors and currently is on the executive board of directors for Arkansas Can Do. SeRonna is also a person with a disability, as well as a parent and grandparent of children with disabilities.  This email address is being protected from spambots.
