00:17:11 Julee: Julee Opel, Independent Living Advocate/Fast Track Coordinator at Disability Resource Center in Joliet, IL 00:18:15 Christie Stanley: Christie Stanley CARES Act Manager Disability Rights & Resources Birmingham, AL 00:19:42 Heather Sims DRR (She/Her): In Alabama it seems in terms of COVID 19 we are going backwords 00:20:58 Ashley Evans: In KY we seem to be going backwards too. We just went virtual again and everyone HATES it. Everyone is sick of being on Zoom and our attendance is way down. 00:23:09 Pam Davies: In Ohio, we are hybrid right now, but still doing virtual support groups. Those without technology we keep in touch through weekly phone calls when needed. We have delivered several packages for suicide prevention and mental health. 00:25:07 Lynae West: Lynae West, County Coordinator @ Summit Independent Living, Kalispell, MT 00:31:43 Lynae West: We are not allowed to ask if an employee is vaccinated in MT 00:32:16 Lynae West: I should say, we can ask, but they don't have to answer 00:32:21 Meri Helbig: People who are vaccinated can also get and spread COVID 00:34:20 Denise Wardle (She, Her, Hers): Denise Wardle TARP CIL- my staff all has been vaccinated however, we are in Tennessee and the variant rate is going up. We continue to work remotely and are able to provide all of our services virtually. We are actually serving more consumers than pre-COVID. 00:35:29 Karen Ritchie: Our staff have all been vaccinated, concerns are about the new Delta Variant has spread here in eastern KY Our Gov signed and executive order requiring masks in schools. 00:35:35 Pam Davies: We are housed in a Federal building, so the signs say " If you have been vaccinated, wearing a mask is up to you." That is so far. We will see. 00:36:26 Jody Armstrong - Disability Achievement Center: Here is the mask policy for our CIL that is open full time, full service: As we approach re-opening I believe it is appropriate to address issues regarding wearing of masks in our offices. We have staff who have been fully vaccinated and some who have not for various reasons. 1. All persons entering the offices of the center will be required to wear masks at all times. Those who do not have a mask will be issued a mask upon entering at the front desk. 2. All staff moving throughout the building will be required to wear a mask at all times. This means all common areas including the breakroom unless one is eating lunch. 3. If you have been vaccinated and are in the office of another who has been vaccinated it is acceptable with permission to remove your mask. 4. If you have not been vaccinated and enter the office of another who has been vaccinated it is required that you be masked when you enter that persons office. 5. The same applies to those who may enter an office of a person who has not been vaccinated. 00:40:28 Heidi Frye: Our director know and understands that some with medical conditions and medications that the prosof the vaccine don't outweigh the cons 00:41:46 Donna Gillette: Kathy Hochman, where are you working out of? 00:43:00 Heidi Frye: W wear masks if not in our individual office or unless we can prove that we've had the vaccine 00:50:49 Donna Gillette: Jody, this is wonderful, would love to hear more about how to keep youth engaged. 00:51:32 Kathy Hochman: We also created a space for working parents of school aged children to use for remote learning. It took a lot of stress off of the parent trying to juggle full time work and remote learning. The parents chipped in together to hire a person to oversee the children and help them with their work or when they had a question. 00:52:21 Donna Gillette: Kathy Hochman, wow, that is a very unique approach and I absolutely love that! 00:53:22 Mark Shaw: Setting up scheduling has definitely helped especially when we were under strict limited capacity. On-line support groups have helped our consumers greatly 00:53:39 Donna Gillette: that is a lot Sara! 00:53:47 Mark Shaw: just being flexible has worked 00:57:18 Donna Gillette: We are having a problem spending our CIL CARES Act Funds despite outreach to folks we are serving and to partner agencies and coalitions. HOw are the rest of you doing with your own CARES Act $? 01:04:12 Julee: It is important to be flexible and willing to work outside of our normal 9-5 schedule 01:05:01 Jed Barton: Thanks to everyone for sharing gotta run to another meeting 01:07:14 Heidi Frye: I have seen that for the consumer that you have dfficulty getting ahold of, text messaging helps 01:08:44 Edina Larson (MCCIL): Incredible folks here. Thank you so much. Sorry to be late in attending. 01:08:49 Pam Davies: The need for technology access and education is more needed now than ever. Especially in areas where accessible/affordable transportation is not available. 01:11:32 Donna Gillette: To Steve Woodword's comments, I wanted to add that for our folks we serve who depend on us to drop in when they are in crisis including those who are in and out of homelessness and in and out of services that need the face-to-face 01:13:34 Lynae West: Thank you! Great discussion! 01:13:49 Kari Rostron: Thank you.
